The Zoom H4 Handy Digital Recorder fits in your palm and is great for recording practically anything you need! Live musical performances, interviews, podcasts, meetings, classes, seminars, whatever! With the H4 you can record full uncompressed 24-bit/96 kHz digital audio, or if you’re low on SD card space, use the built-in MP3 compression!
With two studio-quality electret condenser microphones built in and configured in an X/Y pattern for true stereo recording, the H4 is ready to put your listeners in the audience! However, if you’d rather use your own mics, the H4 has you covered there too, with two combination XLR-1/4-inch input jacks with phantom power. The H4 is loaded with onboard studio effects such as compression, limiting and mic modeling. An 1/8-inch headphone jack lets you monitor the sound you’re capturing in real-time.
The H4 records on to any standard Secure Digital (SD) media, and a 128MB SD card is included with the unit to get you started. With a 2GB SD memory card, the H4 provides up to 380 minutes of recording in 16-bit mode (CD Quality), and 34 hours in MP3 stereo mode. When you’re ready to transfer your recordings to a PC or Mac, just use the included a USB mass-storage interface!
The H4 provides four hours of continuous recording operation from 2 AA batteries. Of course you can also plug in with the included AC adapter for uninterrupted power as long as you need it. The 128×64 pixel LCD is back-lit, providing you full control in any lighting conditions (like the back of a dark club!) USB cable, windshield cover and tripod adapter are all included!
