For Sale: Up for Sale is for one Zingiber Ottensii (Shampoo Ginger) plant. This plant is approximately 10”- 14" height with a well developed root system. It is very important to plant the tree right away in your designated area in your yard, or in a large potting plant (pot depth should be at least 2-3 ft deep) upon receiving.  All you have to do is to pot it in high compost medium and fertilize with organic fertilizer frequently.

Zingiber Ottensii, also called Shampoo Ginger, is a very beautiful ginger, it is light brown colour with a pinecone shape. It can grow to 8 to 10 feet tall. The inflorenscence, which grows to be 1 to 2 feet tall, starts out brown and changes to red upon maturity. They bloom from summer to fall. They are excellent for cut flower arrangements with florists for the unusual beehive shape and they are very long-lasting. The flower will continue to bloom after the first flower with proper care!!

They should be planted in full sun or semi shade in rich, moist, well-drained soil. Fertilized once a month to encourage healthy plant growth and promote flowering. Water once every 2 – 3 days. It may experience yellowish in the leaves due to long distance traveling but it did not effect the tree growth. Some leaves will be removed in order to prevent over dehydration of the plant.

This plant will be shipped bare-root and wrapped in coconut fibre.
