Zeiss Super Ikonta, f/3.5 Tessar, 16 on 120, super cond

Zeiss Ikon Super Ikonta, code 530, with f/3.5 7cm Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar in Compur (-Rapid) shutter speeded 1 second to 1/500th plus B. The camera produces 16 6x4.5 images in colour or monochrome on standard 120 film. The camera is complete with its original leather ever-ready case in the same superb condition as the camera.

The lens is clean and the shutter operates at all speeds. The coupled rangefinder is clear and accurate.

As the photographs show, the camera is in superb condition - I have not seen a better one. Body covering is fresh and clean and has none of the common Zeiss bumps. Nickel and enamel trim are virtually unmarked.  The camera has been tested with film and produced excellent results. This is a fine example of this compact little camera.

The 520 was intrroduced in the early to mid 1930s. The camera is exceptionally compact, measuring just 4.75 x 4 x  1.5 inches (120 x 100 x 38mm) approximately, and it weighs just 20 oz (600gm).The coupled rangefinder incorporates a double image. The focusing wheel is turned until the double images merge and the lens is automatically set to the focusing distance without further adjustment. The focusing wheel moves smoothly without any stiffness or backlash.
