This is a great effect over the phone or on stage – I have used it with great success over the past 10 years. It really does work and it's value to the working magician is priceless. It has got me many a booking. If you want something that will put you in the realms of master of mystery, then this is for you. You can hear them gasp over the phone or if your performing face to face, just watch their jaw drop. This is a bombshell of a trick – easy to learn and perform.

Imagine that you are on the phone to a client / potential booker or on the stage with a large audience [I have even used this in my walkabout close up magic performances]. You say that you can read minds over a long distance under the right conditions – Someone always says “OK tell me what I am thinking” – Well you say I think you are thinking - I can't. Tell a person or your potential client to think of their birth sign name. Say it does take a lot of concentration. Tell them to spell their birth sign one letter at a time in their mind – now tell them to imagine it written on a blackboard or on a sheet of paper in large letters. Now tell them that you are seeing various letters in your mind but some are a bit fuzzy. You say “I can see an R [yes they say], an I [yes], and an S [yes]. There is an A near the beginning [yes] and a Q [yes]. Your an AQUARIUS,” [yes].
