Listen to Zig and get MOTIVATED, March 17, 2004
Although I am not a Christian, I endorse Zig Ziglar. His motivational style is so unique, so sincere that he really inspires me to do more.
Here are some of his motivational quotes that get me really motivated:
"You can have everything in life you want if you'll just help enough other people to get what they want!"
"When you do what you ought to do, when you ought to do it, EVENTUALLY you will be able to do what you want to do when you want to do to do it."
"Life is not easy, life is tough, but when your tough on yourself, life is going to be infinitely easier on you."
"Winning is not everything, but the effort to win is"

Reach your goals with pin point accuracy., March 21, 1999
I can't stop speaking highly enough of the #1 speaker/motivator in the world - Zig Ziglar. Listen to Zig as he illustrates with simple language and stories how to set and achieve your goals. As he says, be a "meaningful specific" in life and not just a "wandering generality." You must find yourself a target to aim your arrows of desire, and not to throw any target in the path of the oncoming arrow.
Very Good Guideposts, December 1, 2005
Begin with a set of specific written goals
Understand the reasons behind your ambitions
Identify the resources you need to achieve success
Develop a scheduled plan of action
These are very good basics, basics that people will listen to but winners WILL FOLLOW. They may seem like just mere common sense tips, but if taken to heart, these guideposts will change one's life I believe. I have had problems with my organizational skills and focus throughout my life and throughout my career my focus has been getting sharper, but I'm humble enough to realize that these things can help me.
Zig may sound a lot like a TV Preacher, but he is full of common sense that I fear not enough people actually apply in their lives. One needs to get past his southern drawl and to the core of his powerful messages. He is also criticized by some for overemphasizing Christianity, and being overzealous in this regard. I didn't hear him say the word "GOD" once during his presentation.
Goals help make your success, March 16, 2005
I bought this a while ago, in the tape format. So I just relistened and again was blown away by the zest and warmth of Zig Ziglar's spirit to really help you.
He offers a seven-step formula for helping you clearly lay out a plan for success.
He sprinkles it with wonderful inspiring stories. It makes want to start now so you can reap the rewards as soon as possible. Wonderful stuff.
Inspiring Stories, January 30, 2005
I was a little put-off because Mr. Ziglar sounds a lot like a televangelist, but once I got used to his accent and speaking style, I got over it, and could focus on his message. He does a very good job of explaining why goals are important, and his stories and anecdotes are very entertaining and they prove his point. The reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I found that he spent 99 percent of the time telling stories and selling me on why goal setting is important, and only 1 percent of the time explaining _how_ to set them and how to manage the goal index cards. This is a review of the audio CDs -- maybe there is more detail in the book.
Great as always, November 26, 2004
I have had the opportunty to see Zig Ziglar speak on several occasions. I can't tell you how much the man has inspired me to reach goals I never thought possible. As Mr. Ziglar will tell you success is a state if mind. You don't have to be a genus to grasp his simple principals. I highly recomment this book and every other book you can get your hands on. On the other hand, he has such a inspiring intellect you should consider audio and video. His outlook has changed my life and can change yours if you are in the 5% bracket.
