YARDLEY - the life and time of a great school

This 2 hr DVD recalls the history and memories of a great school with pride, humour and great fondness.

Yardley Grammar School (Tyseley Birmingham)  was founded in 1904, with its roots at the 15th century Yardley Trust School.

Anecdotes from former pupils and staff plus numerous old photographs and records are combined with the footage of the grand re-union at the school on 24th June 2000.

Amongst the many memorable items is a remarkable interview with a lady who started at the school in 1918, and the archive 1954 BBC sound recording of the school hymn which should bring about the tingle factor when heard by any former pupil of this well loved school.

This is a real record to treasure for all old Yardleians
