Yamaha XJ600 N/S Diversion '92-03' MF Super Sealed Gel Battery CTX9-BS.

Gel filled motorbike batteries are often used on motorcycles & scooters where the space is very limited or where the battery

has to lie on it's side (like the Yamaha R1) as the battery acid doesn't leak out. 

Gel Filled motorcycle batteries reference numbers usually start with the letters YT, CT or GT (e.g YT12B-4).
Different manufacturers use different 1st letters (e.g CT9B-4, GT9B-4 & YT9B-4 are all the same battery)

• Due to model changes & variations, it is essential that you check your old battery number or manufacturer's specification.

• This is a maintenance free Gel battery and it can be used straight away without the need to charge.

• No need for maintenance or supplemental water filling as the gases produced in the battery are absorbed by negative plates.
  
  LONG LIFE AND HIGH CRANKING PERFORMANCE
  Long battery life has been attained by using special separators and corrosion-resistant alloy grids.
  
• The decrease in internal battery resistance produces high starting performance, together with a reduction in self discharge through the use of lead-calcium alloy grid.
  
  NO LEAKING & FREE POSITIONING
  There is no danger of leakage as the electrolyte is flow-regulated by a special separator. The battery can be positioned in any direction specified by the motorcycle manufacturer.
  
  HIGH RELIABILITY
  Safety valves and explosive-proof filters in the cells of the battery prevent internal pressure rise damage caused by overcharging, or battery explosion caused by external flames.
