New Yamaha Motif Rack-XS

This is a NEW Yamaha Motif Rack XS.  It is offered with a Yamaha factory warranty.  I purchased it about 2 months ago.  When I received it I realized that I didn’t have any rack that was deep enough to accommodate it (this thing is a full 15” deep).  I plugged it in and took it for a test ride.  It is a beautiful synth, and the best of the high-end ROMplers out there.  I was very disappointed that I can’t use it.   I have two Korg M3s (an -88 and a -61), as well as a Roland Fantom G-61, and for the quality of the samples, the variety of the samples, the size of the sample ROM, and the amazing arpeggiator, the Motif wins, hands down.  I like the thing so much that I will probably sell the 61-key M3 and purchase a Motif XS-61.  The factory warranty is being offered by the dealer from whom I purchased it, and will be registered by the dealer to the winner of this auction.  The reason I didn’t simply return the unit is that Yamaha charges its dealers a ridiculous restocking fee, if the item returned is not one of the dealer’s ‘stocked’ items and is acquired from Yamaha as a special purchase item.  So, if you win this auction, you will be getting this Motif XS Rack at a super low price, and you can be confident that you are also receiving a factory warranty from a legitimate Yamaha authorized dealer.  The reason I have waited 2 months to put it on auction is because I have been traveling and would not have had the time to put the auction up and then ship on the day after I receive the winning bid (which is my custom).

If you haven’t looked at how vastly improved the current Motif Rack is over the ES Rack, you should do so.  The thing is, literally, a recording studio in 1-rack space.  The effects section has been improved to 53 Types of (A/B/L) insertion effects x 8 blocks.  That is pretty amazing in and of itself.  It also offers 9 types of master effects, 5-band Master EQ, and 3-band Stereo Part EQ.  Its sound generator includes 1024 voices, 64 drum kits, 18 filters, 64 pattern generators, 32 mixing templates, capacity for up top 64 songs, and a whopping 6000 Arpeggios.

Cubase AI4 software is included to get you started, and the uniit is fully USB compatible and can be edited via USB through a VST editor available for download from the Yamaha web site.  If you choose to use Cubase, there is also software available for free from Yamaha that will allow you to use the Motif as a ‘Hardware VSTi’ meaning that you use it in a sequencer as any VSTi, but it doesn’t use any precious computer CPU resources.

So, look at the other auctions here.  Google a bit.  You will find that even if the auction exceeds my initial starting point ($850) by $200 you will still be getting an enormous deal.  Compare at $1299 the usual street price from a legitimate Yamaha dealer.
