Apart from Archangel Michael, Archangel Gabriel is the only other angel to be named within the bible. Gabriel is allegedly famous for telling Mary that she was favoured by God, and would bear a child named Jesus; and for informing Zachariah to prepare for the birth of John the Baptist (Luke 1:5-25). Because of this, Gabriel was associated by many, with pregnancy and childbirth.
Archangel Gabriel’s name is said to mean “God is my strength”. Archangel Gabriel’s God-name is ‘Shaddai el Chai’. As well as being named Gabriel, the God-name carries specific vibrational energies that when chanted out aloud in prayer, will help to raise the person’s vibrational energies to enable cleansing to take place within the physical body thereby allowing clearer communication to take place with God; light; the one conscious energy.
Archangel Gabriel tells me that he has three main functions:- that of Annunciator, Guardian and Guide.
He brings messengers from God; light; the one conscious energy, and he guards and guides those who call upon him. He particularly helps us with fulfilling our life purpose, continuing the existence of life and maintaining vibrational energy balance to planet Earth.

In the Christian bible, (Daniel 9:21-27) Gabriel interprets Daniel’s dream. Because the dream is believed to have come to fruition some 200 years later, Gabriel was also considered the archangel of dreams, premonitions and the art of clairvoyance.
You will find many varying opinions on whether Gabriel is female or male. Some will argue that because Gabriel is associated with the moon and the moon represents the feminine qualities, such as pregnancy, childbirth, intuition, creation and communication this archangel must be female.
Archangel Metatron has already confirmed to me that angels are androgynous; neither male nor female. However they contain both male and female energy vibrations.
What is interesting; is that depending upon your perceived idea of whether a particular angel is male or female. This will determine how the angel manifests itself before you. As I tend to subconsciously see angels as strong, powerful beings, they tend to come across as male.
