FIRST OF ALL THIS OUTBOARD NEEDS ATTENTION

THE GEAR CHANGE IS BROKEN/SIEZED IN GEAR AND THE TILLER ARM IS STUCK IN THE UP POSITION SOMEONE HAD BROKEN THE BOLTS HOLDING THE CLAMP AND HAS TRIED DRILLING THEM OUT NOT DOING A VERY GOOD JOB

 Q: Is the engine long or short shaft , thanks.
A: hi it's 24 inches from mounting bracket to level with center of prop.. so i think it would be classed as a short shaft but not sure..
