These are CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) units to suit 1982 1983 1984 1985 1986 1987 1988 1989 1990 1991 1992 1993 1994 1995 1996 XT400 XT 400 XT550 XT 550 XT600 XT 600 TT600 TT 600 Yamaha bikes.

These CDI units are a replacement for the original CDI unit at a FRACTION of the COST. They also offer greater reliability than the original while supplying a much improved bottom to high end performance due to a more efficient timing curve and more efficient use of the voltage supplied from the stator.

They are a plug in replacement. These units also have a 12 month warranty. As you can see from our feedback, units are a marked improvement over the original.

On purchase, please state year and model of bike so the correct unit can be sent. Importantly, please also state whether your original unit has 8, 10 or 11 wires coming from the CDI. For example, unit is a 1985 XT550, 11 wire.

Note: Some of the later model Yamaha bikes were supplied with TCI (Transistor Controlled Ignition) units. Please be aware that a CDI unit CAN NOT be used in place of a TCI unit. For verification of which system you have please go to our web page View web page

Shipping Details
  • Shipping and handling is a flat rate of GBP6.00 to the United Kingdom. Shipping is by NZ Postal Service Air Mail and is shipped within 2 to 3 working days of full payment and will take between 7 - 10 working days for delivery.There is NO Track and Trace on this service
  • Optional shipping is by International courier at GBP16.00 and a 5 - 6 day delivery with Track and Trace
