YAMAHA TDM 900 SILVER 04

Hello and welcome to the auction of my TDM900 Can I just start by saying this is not your run of the mill TDM. This bike has had a lot of money spent on it to bring it up to the standard that it is at now and along the way it has turned this bike into something just a little bit special.

 I bought this bike off a very good friend of mine who is fanatical about looking after his bikes. So much so that it has been looked after better than a main dealer would have done it. There is therefore no stamped up service book with the bike, but i assure you it has been very well looked after right down to the very smallest of details by my friend who is a time served mechanic. He uses his bikes for touring europe with his wife every year and because of this he really likes them to be intop condition and he would never trust a dealer to do all small jobs that needed doing to keep it this way so he done it all himself and then he knew it was right. You will see what i mean when you see and ride this bike because it is nicer to ride than a new one.

 The log book is showing 3 owners but yamaha was the first owner as it was there demonstrator bike so there has only been 2 owners in reality.

 there are a number of things that have been changed or replaced on this bike and where things have been replaced the originals will be included in the sale.

 RIGHT WHERE TO START,

 There is nothing that needs done on this bike, everything works as it should and you will have nothing to spend all you need to do is ride it and enjoy.

Crash bungs are fitted on the front large size see the photos

The screen has been replaced with an MRA adjustable tall screen which makes things a lot more comfortable on long journey's or for high speed cruising the screen is also tinted as you can see in the photo's

 Heated grips have been fitted along with BMW GS hand guards to keep you warm and together they really do work. the BMW hand guards are a popular modification among TDM owners because they work.

These bikes do not come as standard with a centre stand but this bike has had the genuine Yamaha centre stand fitted to make things easier when loading the bike, checking the oil and lubeing the chain.

 The engine has had a POWER COMMANDER fitted and the bike has been mapped to work with the exhaust system that has been fitted and the two together give the bike a lot more power than a standard one but more to the point it makes the bike a lot smoother and nicer to ride than a standard one, it has also improved the fuel consumption which is no bad thing for touring. While we are talking about the engine the cam-chain tensioner has been replaced with the new improved one that YAMAHA brought out to modify some bikes that where suffering with cam-chain noise,it did not need done but as i say the guy is fussy about his bikes.

 The exhaust system has been replaced at great expence might i add with a LAZER DUO-TECH system which look's the business and sounds absolutely awesome, and the original exhaust is with the bike also.

 The bike also benifits from being fitted with a GIVI mono rack and a GIVI 45litre top box which has the rack fitted on top and also the high level brake lights fitted in the box

 All these sensibly fitted extras and modifications go towards making this bike a real pleasure to ride on long distance tours, or when just having a sunday afternoon blast with your mates using alll that extra power it has.

The bike has covered 15200miles and most of this has been done touring. but this mileage is not high for one of these bikes as anyone will tell you there engines are bomb proof

 The bike is taxed until end of march next year and is MOT'd until 30th march 2010

The tyres are BRIDGESTONE BT 020 and both have plenty of tread left on them

Well thats about it other than to say that adding all of these mod's and extras to the bike has involved spending some serious money, but when you ride the bike you will know it has been money well spent.
