YAMAHA SG-2000 Cherry Sunburst MIJ Guitar 80's

This is one of the famous Yamaha SG range and was made between 1983 and 1985. It has the brass bridge plate and thru neck construction that made these famous. It was Made in Japan with the serial number 003685.

A quality guitar that is in very good used condition (see pics) - The front is fine with half a dozen small dinks but nothing major. The back has some minor scratching and a few dinks mainly on bottom edge but again nothing of note. The back of neck has half a dozen small dinks including a biiger one midway on the side but nothing particularly noticeable when played. The headstock has some small chips on the top and a small wood chip on one corner. The original hardware is good with some wear to the goldplate notably the bridge and tailpiece but its all working well. The electrics are fine and original - it doesn't have the push/push coil taps as is an earlier model but these could easily be fitted. The knobs are missing the nameplates and the pickup covers have been removed. The ebony fretboard is fine with the frets showing some wear in places but are well playable. Its playing nicely and includes a gigbag.

It weighs just over 8 kilos packed properly so can be sent from Japan by EMS express registered airmail (3-4 days), SAL (2-3 weeks) or Sea freight (6-8 weeks). As there is obviously a difference in price Buyer can decide which. Rates are below or feel free to email for confirmation.
