This is a Yaesu FT840 HF bands transceiver and general coverage receiver.It has adjustable output power up to 100 watts.It is in good working order and condition. Included are a fist microphone and power lead.I have the instruction book and a service manual in electronic form and will burn a disc which will also be included.I have opened up the transmit side so that it will transmit on the extended 40 metre band and of course elsewhere within the bandwidth of the filters.This is just a software operation and does not involve any circuit modification.It was last used to transmit on the 5TH of this month with excellent audio reports from all stations contacted.This is an ideal radio for people who do not like menus,sub menus etc and would like a radio that is as straightforward and simple to operate as possible.I have put a reasonable start price on it and the auction will run to the end.It will not be withdrawn two minutes from the end as has happened to me a couple of times when bidding and which I believe is a despicable practice.
