This item is in fine working order. Genuine reason for sale:

In September bought an 897 with one battery fitted. On 3 November I won item 1403571001131 on ebay. (Two batteries plus charger for £150 - see my feedback for info.)

I therefore have three batteries but can only fit two so one is for sale and no, it's not knackered!

Offered for sale, the FNB-78 is the dedicated internal battery for Yaesu’s FT-897 and 897D. They currently retail at pennies under £110 each.

The FT-897 is able to hold up to two of these batteries, each having a capacity of 4500 mAh.

 

Mine has two fitted and this is the resulting spare from a recent ebay purchase - item no 140357100113
