X Cash Coin 81 

 

This is a very nice Original East India Company EIC copper X Cash Coin which was minted in 1808 and was part of the ships cargo lost when the EIC ship The Admiral Gardner was sunk on the Goodwin Sands in January 1809.

 

 

The coin is 25mm across and the front is in very good condition for a ship wreck coin.

 

 

  The detail is generally sharp and clear with some discolouration and wear from being on the sea bed and from the original brown packing wax , see photo.

 

 

The back also has very slight similar brown colouration from the original packing wax.

 

 

The coin is in as found condition but cleaning could show the detail more clearly.

 

 

The coin comes with a certificate and information on the wreck
