Wormcity Wormeries
Go Green this year with our amazing wormeries. Compost your leftover food scraps, newspapers, even the contents of your vacuum cleaner bag ! Surface area - not depth is crucial - the more surface area, the more air, the quicker the food composts down, and the quicker your worms feed and breed. Dustbin type wormeries are ok, but for a novice user they need careful handling so that your food doesn't go rotten and smelly Stacking wormeries - must have the bins sliding down inside each other, if they sit on top (like some competitors) then it creates huge problems. As the food composts down, it looses volume, and a gap appears above the food, worms cannot jump into the next layer, so the mesh base must stay in contact with the food below at all times. Wormcity Wormeries, fulfil both the criteria above, great air flow, and composting trays that sit inside, so that the worms can get to the next layer !! At Wormcity We also believe that composting should be affordable for everyone. You can make your own wormery, but you will still need to buy the housing , worms etc. Therefore we have come up with a solution with the ecowormery.
The Ecowormery
This wormery consists of 4 trays, a sump at the bottom and 3 composting trays (or more) that slide inside each other, allowing the trays to rest on the contents of the trays below, making the migration of the worms very easy. Easy to empty and maintain, this is a no frills wormery, at a budget price.
