Up for sale is a World Audio Design KIT6550 valve amp !

World audio design amps are renown for their design and build quality.

Sadly this amp like a lot of their designs are no longer available and becoming highly sought after.

The amp is in excellent condition and working great,it has had the coupling caps upgraded to Jensen paper in oil,and new large sturdy feet bolted on to help air flow underneath the amp to keep it cool.

The tape/source toggle switch has been bypassed for a direct and cleaner signal path.

The knobs are not the original ones as W.A.D. had a "supply issue" when the amp was bought,but are available from World Designs for £9.40 each. (I also built a KEL84 and had to wait 11 months for the chrome ones).

It uses 2 x Edicron ECF80 input/phase splitter valves

           4 x Svetlana 6550 power valves (KT88 can also be used)

           2 X C.V.C 5U4 Valve rectifier valves

It produces 40 watts of class A in to 8ohms,and is all hard wired making tweaking,servicing and repair easy. The original instructions/manual with all technical info will be supplied.
