This is an authentic hand made Kilim from Oman

I bought this about 5 years ago from an antique shop but do not know how old it actually is- it could easily have been new then- however it does have some imperfections in the weave which makes me think it might be older but then any ethnic rug purchased even when new usually has some irregularities because they are hand made

The irregularities do  not detract from the beauty of the rug and actually enhance it

The length quoted measures to the edge of the fringes at both ends 200x100cms or 6 ft 6 ins x 3ft 8 ins

This is a really beautiful rug made from really strong wool - the rug has a slightly course feel

It will last for years if not generations

It cost £210 new

Staring bidding at £50
