Wood: Kingwood Origin: Brazil Overall Length: 8 1/2" Usable Length: 6 1/2" Diameter (Head): 11/16" Weight: .8 oz Crafted: May 11, 2009 ID #: 09059p
A member of the Rosewood family, Kingwood shares
many of its cousins’ healing qualities.
Kingwood has a great deal of assertive energy and should not be used in
anger. In less understanding times the tools of the Craft were hidden in plain sight as everyday objects. Now take the magick with you! These decorative pins retain the same energy that my more traditional wands possess, yet are readily sized for everyday wear. Friends
have trusted me to hand-craft their wands and other implements for
years because of nearly a lifetime of woodworking skill and decades as
a metaphysical practitioner. A couple years ago several of those
friends convinced me to put my work on eBay - and here it is!!! Like
crystals and herbs, every tree has its own unique energy. Every item I
create is an individual work of art designed to maximize the innate
beauty and natural energy of the wood. I buff and polish every one of my creations with natural white beeswax to protect the wood and bring out the inner beauty of the grain - No chemical lacquers, oils or varnishes. I also collect a couple handfuls of shavings as an offering from every wand as I create it to include with your purchase. Every wand is uniquely numbered and comes with a card describing it. If you like what you see in the pictures - trust me - I am a poor photographer and you will be amazed at how this wood looks and feels in person. If you prefer something a bit different, or another wood, don't be shy! I have nearly 150 varieties of domestic and exotic international woods out in my workshop - I am always looking for more as I make new friends around the globe. If you need a little help selecting a wood that is right for you, just ask or visit my photo gallery at:
I love to do custom work and make a piece special to you. Be sure to check back as I am always crafting something new. Stop by my eBay store Thank you!!!
Karl PS - If you are looking for great bags or pouches for you tools check out Anabelle's here on eBay. Her quality and price are the best!
Payment - Paypal
is preferred, but I also accept checks and M.O's. Payment is expected
within three (3) days of purchase, but if you need a little more time
or want to combine shipping with another piece, just let me know. I'll
hold onto your item for as long as you need - no problem as long as you
communicate. I file unpaid item claims with eBay after 7 days without
payment or communication, and relist the item after 14 days. Things
happen, let me know - I'm really very patient and understanding.
Custom orders - All custom work requested via eBay will be sold via eBay. They have been kind enough to provide this online bazaar, I will continue to be considerate enough to abide by their rules. eBay allows me to schedule listing start times down to the minute and send you a link to the item. I do this a couple times a week and every custom piece has gone to exactly who requested it.
Shipping & Handling – Shipping costs cover the postage and
cost of shipping materials. I usually ship the next business day once
payment clears. My backwoods post office does not
have Saturday desk hours, so unless I "go into town" packages go out
Monday - Friday. USPS shipping times are in business days and can be
unpredictable and sometimes frustrating. I
require insurance on all international shipping and domestic packages
over $30. Express shipping is available upon request and at additional
cost. I prefer USPS Express Mail for International shipping, I have
found it to be the safest and most dependable for the price. Refunds – I will refund the purchase price of an item returned within 14 days of shipping – no questions asked. I will replace any insured item damaged or lost in transit to the best of my ability; however, with each piece being individually created (sometimes under unique conditions) replacement may not be an option.
Wood Care - I wax and buff every piece for several reasons: First, to bring out the natural beauty of the grain, but more importantly, to protect the wood. The natural oils in our skin may change the color of the wood over time as well as allowing dirt to penetrate the pores. Additionally, dramatic changes in temperature or humidity can create splitting or warping in such slender pieces of wood. I use a natural white beeswax in my shop to protect both newly created pieces and my own personal collection. I personally like Murphy's Oil Soap with Orange Oil or Howard's Feed n' Wax (although the latter contains a petroleum distillate) for cleaning (I have two sets of sticky girl hands that love magick).
Warranty - I warranty my workmanship for the lifetime of the piece. If the item naturally warps, splinters or splits, or I did not properly secure a piece, I will replace or repair it at my cost, including shipping. Simply return the piece so I can see and possibly learn from the problem and I'll get it resolved.
Wand Hospital - Accidents can and will happen. It is just as painful for me as it is to you to see one of my wands caught in a car door, nibbled by a ferret or simply sat upon. Do not despair - contact me! I have replaced damaged handles and used the remains of one wand to create a new one that still holds valued personal energy. There is a will and a way! |
