A guide for serious practising witches who want to improve the effectiveness of their magic by tuning in to the Moon's phases in her monthly journey around the zodiac.
The Moon is the central point of any witch's life, so what better way to schedule magic than by synchronizing with her orbit? The Moon circles the entire zodiac each month, visiting each of the 12 signs, and then overlapping some. Each sign belongs to one element and one quality, and these have their application to magical workings. Each sign is ruled by a planet, and each planet has its own nature, interests and matters it rules over (as do the signs). All of this information can be used by the discerning witch and applied to his or her spells.
Everything is clearly laid out and explained in the introduction, and is easy to refer to when planning a spell.
The calendar has 42 pages. Twelve of these are laid out as calendar pages, describing the Moon's progress through the signs. There is a wealth of information on each calendar page. At the head of the page are all the planets' positions at the start of the month. If a planet changes sign, or direction, that is marked on the day it happens. The Full, Crescent, New and Quarter Moons are marked, together with Eclipses when they occur. Astrological notes with useful advice are liberally provided.
Facing each calendar page is another page of valuable information. Each month features a goddess, sometimes more than one. And for each month there is a full reading of astrological conditions on the day of Full Moon at midnight, when witches are abroad holding their covens. There are suggestions for spell-making, and for work the coven can be doing in the wider world.
At the back of the calendar are moonset and moonrise times for every day in the year, and two pages of articles.
I have copied some of the pages and put them on my website. You can find them at www.pendlepeople.com/firequeen/ebaywitch.htm
