Willson 400L 13 Celebration Cornet in Lacquer

This Bb cornet (serial number 34800) is used and was received in part exchange for a new Willson cornet in our showroom. We supplied this brand new to our customer 3 years ago, who loved the Willson sound so much he has purchased a brand new model, His reason was that the cornet was dropped on to the shepherds crook, and although repaired, he wanted a replacement so it would be cosmetically perfect.

The Willson cornet has been an enormous success in the UK, following the lead of well known young soloists like Phil Cobb, and is now used widely in brass bands. Full details on the Willson web site in Switzerland http://www.willson.ch/index_e.html

The Willson 400L is a large bore model with an easy playing conical bore in the lead pipe, giving a very fast reacting and controlled sound. They sell in our showroom at £1,750 brand new. A full range is available for testing in-store.

The Willson valve as probably the best of any manufacturer, this model features triggers on 1st and third tuning slide (like a Sovereign).

The valve buttons are worn, but can be replaced at any time for a cost of £40 if required. There is a rough surface and some lacquer loss where the instrument was dented on the shepherds crook. There are about a dozen very small brown spots in the typical place on the wire of the cell flare. There are some minor scratches and marks consistent with a three year old instrument, but the cornet has been well cared for.  

The instrument will arrive in perfect working condition and has been checked, serviced and set-up by our technicians. It is supplied with a 12 month mechanical warranty. 

It is supplied with the orignal Willson hard gig bag - which is in good order. There is no mouthpiece supplied (but we can quote a price on request). 

If on initial inspection if you are disappointed in any way, and return it, you will receive a refund. If it fails mechanically within 12 months you may return it for a full refund, or repair (at your discretion).

It will be well packed before shipping and sent Business Post courier (inland UK only) for £12 and will require a signature on delivery (next day service). I will contact you first to establish what days someone will be there to sign for the parcel. Collection in person can be arranged. Delivery for non-inland UK (e.g. Northern Ireland and Scottish Highlands) is £25.

This item will be sent to most European countries (door to door) on Business Post Euroroad for £50, and to the USA for around  £200 via carrier an insured basis (USA price to be confirmed after sale and is dependent on location), or by insured post to America for £80.
