THE PARK
Our prestigious Award winning family owned park originally began around 45 years ago from what was farming land. It is owned and operated by the same family who have lived on the land for six generations and over the years, the park has increased in size and been constantly redeveloped to maintain the highest of standards. The care and attention to detail is nothing short of what you would expect from one of
the most awarded parks in the UK, providing our clients with a superb weekend retreat to relax and enjoy their all important leisure time.
Fold House Park is one of the original members of the British Holiday and Home Parks Association and has had the highest rating from the Industry and Associations grading scheme.
The park has been carefully designed in a landscaped rural setting, for everyone to enjoy, and is bordered on all sides by farming land, separated by mature trees, hedgerows and waterways. The Broadfleet river flanks one side of the Park as itwinds its way to Morecambe Bay. Situated within 35 acres of landscaped areas
combining tree lined avenues, quarried sandstone, mature woodland and open fields, the park provides a spacious, secure and private holiday home park for our clients to enjoy.
Fold House Park is a select and private park. There are no hire-fleets or sub-letting units that allow strangers on the park, no touring caravans going back and forth using our clients facilities and no dogs (except guide dogs), animals or other pets to put up with. The only animals on the park are the likes of wild rabbits, badgers, foxes, pheasants and squirrels running out of the adjacent woodlands and fields.
THE LOCATION
Fold House Caravan Park is one of the most private and secure holiday home parks in the UK, and although located in the rural setting of Pilling village, it is easily accessible from all areas of the North West. It is also conveniently located for access to major locations such as Garstang, Blackpool, Preston, Lancaster, the Fylde Coast and Lake District.
Located along the south side of the Morecambe Bay coastline, it is only a short distance from the park to Beacon Fell, The Wyre and Lune Valley, Fleetwood and the coastal resorts of Cleveleys and Blackpool.
Pilling village - a national finalist in the Britain in Bloom competition - is in the Wyre Borough situated in the North West corner of the Lancashire boundaries, close to the Fylde Coast. The park is situated in the smaller village of Stakepool, which is within the area of Pilling itself with the local village shops, post office, newsagents and the like, all just a five minute stroll away.
LOCAL AREA
The two main business towns of Preston and Lancaster with their superb central shopping areas, are a short journey away, and the rural and ancient market town of Garstang is also just a few minutes away. Blackpool has its own unique brand of year round entertainment and should you wish to sample its delights, it is just 12 miles away.
The historic and dramatic University town of Lancaster, where Lancaster Castle is still a functioning courtroom and the dungeons are still in use, has two theatres, The Grand and The Dukes Theatre, which have productions running all year round, featuring top actors and personalities performing a variety of well known and first run plays. Some of the other attractions around Lancaster are Williamson Park which covers 38 acres of parkland and has a tropical butterfly house and exotic bird aviary that is open to the public. During the year Lancaster is alive with carnivals, music and folk festivals, organised walks and dozens of other things to see and participate in.
The Lune valley is one of the most beautiful areas of the South Lakes and has many trails, walks and unspoilt areas to view and visit, again, all within easy travelling distance.
Championship golf, fishing, water sports, flying, cricket, horse riding and invigorating country walks are just some of the outdoor pursuits on your doorstep, and for those wanting to explore further afield, the park is an ideal base for visiting the Lake District, Beacon Fell or the Yorkshire Dales, the Trough of Bowland, Abbeystead, Grizedale Forest, Lancaster Canal, Ingleton Falls or Kirby Lonsdale.
There is access to the full stretch of the Lancashire Coastal Walk nearby at the Lane Ends Amenity Area. Yachting and boating at the 18th century fishing port of Glasson Dock is just a few minutes away.
There are also many fine craft centres in the surrounding localities for the more earthy types, from furniture making to pottery and fine arts. The area also boasts some of the finest restaurants and eating houses to suit every taste and pocket.
So, whatever your interests are, you'll find that Fold House Park is the perfect location for your holiday home with A WEALTH OF INTERESTING PLACES TO VISIT AND THINGS TO DO, or you could of course, just relax and do nothing!.
THE FACILITIES
The facilities, services and security on the park are to the highest standard. On the park is a large bowling green for the more sedate game player, and leading off the park, away from the peace and quiet, there is a large children's play area which includes a football field, swings, small picnic area and outdoor adventure/activity centre. Heated outdoor swimming and paddling pools complement the facilities for those who enjoy the water. An illuminated waterfall display and pool stocked with exotic fish is one of the more natural features.
All the roads on the Park are fully developed with kerbside edging, and private parking, in most cases, is next to each holiday home for clients convenience. The park has full lighting for additional safety and comfort, and main services are available to all areas.
HOLIDAY HOMES AND THEIR OWNERS
Holiday Home owners come from a variety of backgrounds, and most share a common interest. If you so choose, you may become involved in a new circle of friends and experiences, and be secure in the knowledge that your family are also making friends and your children can play in the relative safety and security of this exclusively private park.
One of the major benefits you can have from owning your own holiday home, is the freedom to come and go as you please, to visit as often as you like and not just for an annual break. This frees you from the financial pressures of budgeting for the one big holiday and hoping that it is going to be a memorable one. Once you have made your purchase the holiday home can be yours as long as you like. No other holiday gives you this much freedom of choice. Today's holiday homes are developed to a high standard, available in a wide range of styles, designs and layouts, and all offer a high standard of fixtures and fittings.
They are produced for discerning people like you, who have an emphasis for quality and comfort, relaxation and freedom, but with security and peace of mind. Some clients opt to choose a more basic or affordable model, whilst other clients have fancier tastes and bigger expectations. But the real upside to this is you do not have to keep with the same model for any length of time, you can part exchange or upgrade your holiday home whenever it suits you.
Today's holiday home manufacturers offer such a wide variety of choices that there will almost surely be a specific holiday home to match your requirements. At Fold House Park we have an excellent relationship with our clients, in fact one of our clients has been with us for 39 years, another family for 31 years, and twelve more clients have already celebrated their 21st anniversary with us. So if you should decide that Fold House Caravan Park is where you would like to spend your leisure time, we would be happy to offer you any assistance you may require in the purchase of the holiday home of your choice.
Our friendly family business is open every day during the season and most days during the winter period, and you are welcome to visit us and look round the park at your leisure.
Owning your own Holiday Home
We have on display an extensive range of new and pre-owned caravan holiday homes available to suit most pockets and we also cater for specially adapted units for the disabled.
If you prefer, we can supply any specific make or model of your choice, and as Licensed Credit Brokers we have various finance packages to suit every pocket on both new and pre-owned holiday homes, as well as competitive insurance rates with one of the leading holiday home insurance companies.
Conservation and the Environment
As part of our ongoing commitment to the environment and conservatio, we implemented a tree planting policy over twenty years ago and undertook a long term restitution and management plan to re-establish plants, shrubs and fauna in and around the park. Several conservation awards have been given to the park in recognition of this.
