Description
~ Corporate Display/Demo Model Unfired Complete with Original Factory Box ~ Buy with confidence from an Authorized Wilesco Distributor ~ This Wilesco Model Steam Fire Engine is based on an original which was produced by Magirus in Germany at the beginning of last century. The fire engine is operated by the steam engine. The speed is regulated by using the speed control valve. Polished brass boiler (3 1/8˝D, 6˝L, boiler capacity 450cm3) with elongated gauge glass. A single boiler flue (3/4˝D) is built into the boiler, to improve efficiency. Vertical reversible double-acting brass cylinder with flywheel (3 1/8˝D), to enable the fire engine to drive forward and reverse, spring loaded safety valve, steam whistle with chain, steam regulator valve, sliding tray for condensed water, die-cast wheels with solid rubber tires, wooden seats, fire bell, two lacquered die-cast lamps, and steering wheel for front axle. Clutch is engaged gear transmission with chain drive to the rear axle. When the fire engine is stationary and clutch is disengaged the water pump can be operated. The water tank is under the front seat, with a hose leading from the pump. Squirts up to 6 to 9 feet. Two removable reels, each with hose of 31˝L, with coupling and jet. The model is finished in red, black and brass. Operating time approx. 15 minutes. Measures 16 1/8˝L x 7 1/2˝W x 9 7/8˝H.
