Old Growth Wood
Barns - Cabins - Factories - Buildings
This gorgeous and strong Heart Pine hardwood adds warmth and character to a room. The planks vary from deep reds to golden honey tones. Put this Old Growth Heart Pine to use for your flooring, ceiling, wainscoting, or wall paneling needs -- you're sure to impress yourself and guests with your individual style and tasteful design. We are happy to provide matching specialty pieces as well... for example, use this Heart Pine for your stair treads, stair risers, or bull-nose pieces (the rounded overhanging lip of a stair). This "old wood" product is proof that some things DO get better with age -- it brings an age-old beauty and strength that is impossible to recreate using a “new” flooring product.
Our reclaimed lumber comes from the mountains of Appalachia -- the original timbers fell in the lush forests stretching from North Carolina up to Pennsylvania Amish country. We are proud to provide you with this stunning wood that is not only a beautiful addition to your home or business, but is a piece of history!
This particular product is pure old growth Heart Pine. Because heartwood does not typically develop until the tree is 30 years or older, it is not commonly found in today's newly harvested trees, and is therefore much harder to come by. It is widely sought after and often requested as a top flooring and paneling choice because of its density, hardness and resistance to decay. The colorful red and gold tones of this wood's patina beautifully accent its lighter, white knots. Upon request and for an additional fee, we are happy to apply pre-finishes, finishes, and stains. Thinking of taking the "do-it-yourself" route? This is a great choice for you! The length and width of each plank make it easy and quick to lay this flooring yourself...!
Current eBay Listing:
You are bidding on one (1) square foot of material; list price is the unit price for (1) square foot.
As-is -- We kiln-dry our wood to 8% moisture, but generally limit any other processing and finishing unless you request it.
Our Standard -- We pride ourselves on preserving our wood's integrity, authenticity and character. We are happy to craft the wood to fit your project specifications; for example, inquire about our sanding, pre-finishing and finishing, and additional protective sealant options. We also offer a wide variety of stain applications. These options are provided for a small additional charge - just ask us about the possibilities!
