Offered in this sale is an alabaster and jad green French opaline glass compote that I would date to the second half of the 1800s. It measures 6" tall x 5 1/4" in diameter. It has an applied snake wrapped around the stem. The upper rim is decorated with gold gilt. The condition is very good. There is an internal U shape line in the base of the bowl which you can see in the 4th & 5th images. This line does not break the surface but is there all the same. Other than this, there are no other chips, cracks, flakes, hairlines or evidence of grinding. Please feel free to email with any questions.
