Dear Customer,

Welsh Mountain wool, is pure new wool that has a red kempy character. It has an unexpectedly soft handle regardless of it's hairy appearance, with an occasional more coarse top hair.

The fibres are also easily dyed with both natural and chemical dyes. The finer hairs will taken on a paler shade of each dye, so the finished effect is perfect for spinning, weaving and knitting into woven tweeds, rugs and hardwearing, warming knitwear. It is also surprisingly good for feltmaking too!

My stock is currently in uncut batches of 8, so if you order 9 lots of 50g in the same colour it will come as 1 complete length of 8 and a seperate length of 1. Blending 2 lengths together in a project is fairly simple in most cases, so using two lengths should in no way harm the outcome of your project.

Please note that colours may vary slightly from the picture below. This is due to photographic colour representation differences.
