Benjamin Roberts Designer Wedding Dress Part of His Vintage Collection (No: 812) Stunning Grecian Style, light & floaty. This is a size 14 as Wedding Dresses are always the next size up and then altered to fit. I am 5’ 10” and a size 12, with 34B bust. Dress is ivory coloured tomen chiffon with silver beading flower design on bodice. Inner dress is satin. There is rouched chiffon all around the body satin inner dress with chiffon delicate ruching work over the top which flatters body shape. The dress has to corset inside, to pull bride into shape, then it is zipped and then tiny buttons cover over the zip to give it have an elegant appearance. The chiffon drapes over the shoulder and down the back on one side. There is also a little line of jewels that hangs with it. A separate piece of chiffon drapes over some of the exposed back and attaches to the dress. The train is all chiffon in a puddle shape. An alteration has been made so the dress can be gathered up neatly at the back for the reception to allow bride to dance and move more freely. This comprises of a large button for the satin dress to be attached to and two loops for the chiffon to attach to. Chiffon material is easy to catch so bride must be careful with jewellery & shoes that go with it. Due to the eleborate detailing, very little jewellery is needed. Total cost for Dress brand new plus alterations was £900. Please note: There a small line of minor discolouration (approx 1cm wide by 20cm heigh) on the back (chiffon only not on main dress satin material). Positioned in lower right thigh area. Hardly visible, but may be removed professionally or hidden by a small altertation due to it’s position. See photo for detail. An allowance for this has been made in the price.
