Although this bracelet is designed to be given as a Christening present it is not sized for a young child; but rather is a life-long present that can be worn from teenage years and onwards. The bracelet will be packed in the Ivory coloured Drawstring Bag in the photograph.

Included in the price, if wanted, I will create a certificate especially for the recipient of the gift. I would include the traditional properties of the gems used (similar to the descriptions below) and the name of the person, the date, the occasion being celebrated, and the place and also the names of the presenter. This would be printed in this italic script on Ivory coloured paper, folded neatly and placed in a Ivory coloured satin drawstring bag shown in the photograph, so if, for example, it is a Christening or Birthday Present the person who has received the gift will always know from whom it was sent.

Freshwater Pearls and Bloodstone
Bloodstone is chalcedony quartz and is green with occasional distinctive red spots that resemble blood, giving this stone its name. There is a legend that says the bloodstone was formed from the blood of Christ dripping on the green earth and solidifying. It was called heliotrope by the Greeks and was thought to bring change and bloodstone was used as an amulet to protect against the evil eye and it is a symbol of justice. Bloodstone is used to increase circulation of all energy in the body and helps to remove energy blocks. It is used in the alignment of all the Chakras and aids in the circulation of blood and several pieces of Bloodstone in the home can increase the flow of the life force. Bloodstone is a hero's stone and it can instill courage in dangerous situations and in everyday life and it helps to protect us from our own unhealthy desires. In addition to instilling courage, bloodstone is an intense healing stone, balancing the base, navel, sacral, and heart Chakras. Unlike all the other birthstones, which are formed from inorganic substances, a pearl, is formed by a living organism - an oyster or other mollusc. The pearl begins as nothing more than a grain of sand which enters the mollusc. The grain of sand is layered with a substance called nacre which is triggered by the mollusc as a defence mechanism. The result, over time, is a precious and gorgeous pearl. White Pearls are associated with innocence and purity, whilst black and gold pearls symbolize wealth and fortune.
