Wardonia – New-Edge Razor – ‘The New Way of Shaving’, unused in original box, c1950. This is a perfect (unused – ex-shop stock) example of a “Wardonia” New-Edge Razor in its original box that was made by Thomas Ward & Sons Ltd at the Wardonia Works, Sheffield, England, some time around the early 1950s. The box measures 3¾” x 1¾” x ½” (approx), and is in great clean condition with all flaps and no rips or scribbles. The front shows a picture of the Razor and lists three key features. The back has a paragraph of text that tells us how wonderful the Razor is. Inside, and still in the inner-card sleeve is the razor which is made of ivory-coloured white Bakelite-like Plastic. You simply need to put in a blade, screw the handle into place and there is your as-new, 50+ year old New-Edge Razor. Both the razor and the box make good display items. (Or you could of course shave with it!)
