Wally Schirra Signed Photograph Apollo 7 Rocket Mercury

Wally Schirra [born March 12, 1923 - died May 5, 2007] was one of the original seven astronauts assigned in 1959, to the Mercury Project. On October 3, 1962, he became the 5th American in space while piloting Mercury 8 capsule. He flew again in 1965, and in 1968, becoming the first man to fly in space 3 times. In 1968, he flew as the commander of the Apollo 7 mission which was the first manned flight of the Apollo program. Wally Schirra is also the only astronaut to fly in all three space programs, Mercury, Gemini and the Apollo Programs.

Listed for auction is a photograph signed by Lt Cmdr Walter Schirra. The photograph is a wonderful color image of the Saturn 5 rocket during lift-off of the Apollo 7 mission. The autograph is nicely signed Wally Schirra in blue ball point. The photograph is a quality book photograph which measures 7.25 x 9.75 inches and is in fine condition. The photograph is very attractive and ideal for display if desired.
