The AN-J-3 jacket was was introduced in April of 1943 and intended to replace the A-2. It was apprently procured in limited quantities and is very seldom encountered.

Our AN-J-3 jacket was made out of the brown goatskin, It feature 2 canvas inner pockets and the pleated biswing back and the sewn-in belt across the back, these details had previously been confined to the USN G1-jacket.
