World War 2 German Standard Issue Eye Glasses With Case and Card

Finally, they are here. As in any other modern army, German soldiers with slight eyesight problems were supplied with standard issue glasses or "Dienst-Brille", delivered in a grey metal case. Standard issue glasses were manufactured with flexible arms to enable a close fit behind the ears in order to prevent loss. The  round lenses were held in place by a round metal frame connected with a curved nose piece or "bridge". Each pair of glasses was also issued with a technical card to record the owner's/soldiers delivery and optical data.

These highly authentic reproductions will astound your friends and kameraden. Stop stumbling around blind or wearing your modern glasses at reenactments. These tuck away nicely in the "bandage" pocket inside your combat blouse and look great on display! Every reenactor / enthusiast should own one.

These are a great deal!

These come with clear lenses, you don't need a prescription to wear them!
 
Take these to a frame shop, you can also have tinted lenses installed to convert them into "Sonne-Brille" which were identicle to the "Dienst-Brille" except they had tinted lenses for use as standard issue sunglasses. These were issued in various theatres and to those with eye problems.
 
Included with this auction: 1 pair of glasses with 42mm objective lenses, metal case and technical card!
