A superb, original example of a British WW1 brass Christmas tin. These were sent out in 1914 to troops in France as a gift from Princess Mary and would have originally contained tobacco, cigarettes, chocolates and photos and a message from the Royal Family. These are no longer with this tin though.

In excellent condition this tin has been well looked after and is intact. The hinged lid works well which is often not the case after the 90 odd years passage of time.

As with all our British World War One items we are donating a percentage of this sale to HELP FOR HEROES - a charity set up to look after British troops returning from combat zones with mental or physical trauma.
PLEASE NOTE - We market our items through other outlets such as online (our own websites) and our bricks and mortar retail premises. This means that if you are content to sit and watch anything we list it may well disappear. A bid on Ebay items at auction secures their sale here and nowhere else.
