Gladstone Adams was a famous Whitley Bay photographer who amongst other things invented the windscreen wiper! He was the official photographer of Newcastle United in the 1920's and captured many local scenes for postcard use. During world war one he was a member of the Royal Flying Corps. This photograph and the others on ebay that I am selling now were all taken as part of a top secret training mission to develop reconnaissance skills. The photo is black and white and shows amazing detail - This is a very rare opportunity to own an aerial view from this period in history.
