An original full sized First World War medal pair awarded to Second Lieutenant George Arthur Potter - Kirby who served during the Great War with the Army Service Corps and the Chinese Labour Corps.

 George Arthur Potter-Kirby was born on 21 February 1879. A Silk Mercer by occupation, he enlisted on 9 March 1915 and serving as a Private in the Army Service Corps he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 24 August 1915. In September 1917 Potter-Kirby was discharged to a temporary commission in the Chinese Labour Corps.
