This small solid wood box has the image of an edelweiss and patterns carved on the exterior in addition to the lettering: LUZERN. Opens from the front forward, the 'drawer' container initially upside down; when fully out, the 'drawer' flips over to display its content - in this case it is empty. Possibly originally had a thermometer. Measures approx. 41mm x 97mm x 20mm.
