All sales are final, unless we have made a substantial error in our description and it was not corrected during the course of the auction.
As with all art we sell, the work is guaranteed to be as described and may be returned within 30 days of receipt for a full refund of the purchase price if judged by a qualified expert to be substantially not as described. Any returns must be accompanied by a signed written statement from a qualified authority stating that the art work is a forgery.
We do not guarantee the condition of any frames that are sold with our artworks. We will do our best to make sure the frame is not damaged during shipping. However insurance will not cover frame damage during shipping. All our shipments are insured and professionally packed with high quality material.
About descriptions: Please read the listing text carefully. Authorship is guaranteed in relation to the term used. We use the standard terms:
Signed or painted (sculpted etc) followed by an artist s name, to signify that the work is by the said artist.
The use of the following terms means that the painting is NOT guaranteed to be by the artist mentioned:
attributed to; signifies that the painting is probably a work of the artist
circle of; signifies a work of the period of the artist that shows his influence.
follower of; signifies that the work is in the artist s style, but not necessarily by a pupil
manner of; signifies that the work is in the artist s style, but of a later date or
after; signifies that the painting is a copy after the said artist, from his time or later.
