 WMF SILVER PLATED ART NOUVEAU DESK SEAL & LETTER OPENER C1900

This is a combined Art Nouveau desk seal and letter opener.

I think it is by the German manufacturer W.M.F.

The blade is nickel, but the silver plate is worn, the seal is also hard metal and covered in a soft metal decorated with stylized flowers and an Art Nouveau maiden, again the silver plate is worn.

It measures 7 inches long.

There is a small split where the blade meets the handle (see picture) and the blade tip is very slightly bent, but apart from that it is OK.

Age is circa 1900
