Hello, I have for sale a complete new “Orchard Timber Products” fully assembled and fully finished white painted WBC Hive.

This hive includes the following:  Solid Floor with legs and landing board, 3 lifts (one with porch and slides), feature timber roof with Bee Escape Cone, 1 Brood Body with 10 new DN1 Frames fitted with narrow plastic end spacers, 1 Super with 8 new SN1 Frames and 1 pair of castellated metal spacers, all with fresh wired foundation, plus 1 empty Super.   Crown Board with 2 Plastic Porter Bee Escapes and 1 Queen Excluder.   All Supers and Brood Body have galvanised metal runners.

Hive Features:  Many hives available today are constructed using 16mm thick timber to lifts and 13mm to brood body and supers.  This hive is manufactured to a very high standard using solid good quality selected 20mm Scandinavian Redwood throughout.  Not cheap Pine or Ply Wood!   The hive is very durable, 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of quality white gloss finish have been applied in our workshop to protect the hive from the elements.   (The interior components are untreated).   Please see our photos; the hive lifts include precision cut “box finger joints” for strength and longevity.   The hive floor includes a “fixed tunnel lath” (for Brood body alignment and to prevent your bees from entering the hive wall cavity).  The Brood body and Supers include trench joints, again for durability giving you many years of service.   Slots are incorporated within the Brood and Super walls, so if you prefer castellated spacers throughout, they can be inserted very easily.  10 or 8 SN1 frames can be used in each super.    (The internal sizes are to BS dimensions).    All timber joints are fully glued during assembly.  The roof incorporates capillary grooves, to minimise water being held in the joints.   Please note:   Additional Lifts, Supers and spare components are available.   I will be very pleased to provide separate quotations.
