Fascinating Ward Lock "Red" travel guide, dating from 1940/41 - 10th edition revised.  Full of contemporary photographs, advertisements and fold-out maps. 

These guides are increasingly becoming collectors' items. (See www.wardlockredguides.co.uk  for more information about the series.)

Area covered : Weymouth and South Dorset, including Portland, Dorchester, Lulworth, Swanage, Sherborne etc.

Overall condition : Very good, although slight damage.

Maps : Very good.  These appear to be complete, and there is also an extra fold-out district map tucked inside the rear cover.  Two of the maps have tears in them - no loss - could be easily repaired.

Covers : Good.  Crease to the front cover. Some wear and a little fading.  Rubbing to edges and corners.

Spine : Good.  Normal wear. Rather faded.  Small tear (1.5cm) to edge of cloth at foot - no loss.

Binding : Very good.

Pages : Very good. Normal wear.  Slight discolouration.
