Fascinating Ward Lock "Red" travel guide, dating from the 1940s, 2nd edition. Full of contemporary photographs and advertisements These guides are increasingly becoming collectors' items. (See www.wardlockredguides.co.uk for more information about the series.) Area covered : Southsea and Portsmouth, inclduing neighbouring parts of South Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. Overall condition : Very good. Maps : Because this was a wartime edition, one of the maps (the Admiralty chart of Spithead and the Solent) was removed for security reasons under the Control of Maps Order. All the other maps appear to be in excellent condition - complete and undamaged. Covers : Very good. Normal wear. No marks or damage. Spine : Normal wear with no damage. Binding : Excellent.
