WARD LOCK GUIDE - SEATON - 1924/25 - 6th edition rev.

Fascinating Ward Lock "Red" travel guide, dating from 1924/25, 86th edition revised.  Full of contemporary photographs, advertisements and fold-out maps.

Area covered : Seaton and the Devon and Dorset borderland, including Bridport, Charmouth, Lyme Regis, Sidmouth, Exeter and the surrounding area.

Overall condition : Very good.

Maps : Very good - All the maps and plans are present and undamaged, apart from a small edge tear to the Weymouth and district map - no loss - could be easily repaired.

Covers : Very good, although rather worn.  Slight superficial marking.

Spine :  Very good, although again rather worn. Some superficial creasing.  No markings or damage.

Binding : Binding of text block is very good, but there is a split inside the front cover meaning that the spine cloth (with front cover firmly attached) has loosened from the binding itself - could be easily reglued.

Pages : Very good, although rather worn.  Discolouration at edges.

Other : Small pen inscription inside front cover.
