Fascinating Ward Lock "Red" travel guide, dating from the 1940s, 12th edition revised.  Full of contemporary photographs, advertisements and fold-out maps.

These guides are increasingly becoming collectors' items. (See www.wardlockredguides.co.uk  for more information about the series.)

Area covered : North Cornwall, including Newquay, Perranporth, Tintagel, Bude, Padstow etc.

Overall condition : Very good.

Maps : Excellent.  All appear to be present and complete, with no damage.

Covers : Very good.  Less than average wear.  Slight superficial damage, both front and rear, where a strip of sellotape appears to have been removed (see scan).

Spine : Good, but some wear and scuffing..  Split in cloth from top edge downwards (about 4cm).

Binding : Excellent.

Pages: Very good.  Just light wear.  Slight discolouration at edges.

Other : An "ex libris" label and a small pencil inscription inside front cover.
