"WAR IN HEAVEN"

ORIGINAL "NERUE" PAINTING

Signed, Nerue, a pseudonym for the American artist Barry Euren, A.I.F.A. 

Titled: "From the grave to the sky"

This image was inspired by the Holy Ghost and painted in the spirit in 2005. 

Revelation 12:7-9 "And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. 

And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."

When I look out into the heavens and into space, I see destruction on a massive scale.

Some attribute this to being part of the "big bang" theory. 

As a Bible artist, I see it as the aftermath of heavens "great war" as described above. 

The asteroid belt is clear evidence of a whole planet that was destroyed in this angelic war. 

Other examples exist in deep space, such as the thousands of comets and asteroids coming and going through space, blown apart into their current orbits. 

Clearly debris from the cosmic destruction. 

Black holes, tears in space, all created from the war. 

Can you imagine the power of a single angel? 

Now imagine millions of them fighting one another throughout space. 

The aftermath would be as we see currently see it.  Remember, angels are immortal and cannot be killed, but must be subdued. 

Here on planet earth they are imprisoned, says the word of God.

"War In Heaven" was created through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. 

Painted in the spirit of the Lord, it depicts a UFO saucer like object comprised of all the colors of the Bible. 

Points of light (angel powers) warring with one another surround the object, throwing bolts of power and light. 

The city of God and of the cross remain in the background, the prize being fought over.
