WADE China of England matching set of 4 TEA PLATES in SWEET PEA chintz -- in MINT condition!

Each plate is 6-3/4" across and is richly trimmed in gold.  All 4 plates have the "Wade England" backstamp.  

According to The Charlton Standard Catalogue of Chintz (3rd ed.), Wade China began making breakfast sets (along with accessory pieces such as these tea plates) in 1999.  Scott provided retail prices only for the $245 breakfast set and its separate pieces (e.g. creamer $50, covered sugar $72.50), but that does give you an idea of the probable original retail value and lovely quality of these plates.

This particular chintz pattern is called "Sweet Pea" and features crimson, blue, and mauve flowers and deep green foliage on a lovely soft yellow ground.  This is substantial china (these 4 plates together weigh over 3 pounds before packaging), flawlessly made to a high standard.  They display beautifully -- my pictures simply don't do this gorgeous pattern justice!

These plates were brand new when I purchased them a few years ago, and remain in perfect condition as I've not ever used them.  Please see the 4 matching napkin rings I also have on auction.  I'm always happy to combine your multiple purchases to save on shipping costs.
