On the 18th of August, 1965, the USA started its 1st large operation in Vietnam. It was called Starlite. The soldier Peter Cowbell is a war reporter and is accompanying the Marines on this mission. The second day sees the Marines involved in heavy fighting against the Vietcong – Peter is separated from his unit.
