It's just me, a crazy collector sitting in a basement selling to fellow collectors and not Amazon.  So please be patient if I don't answer your e-mail immediately.  I'm likely out hunting auctions or estate sales, busy with other work tasks, or simply enjoying a day off in Colorado's beautiful sunshine.

SHIPPING COSTS -

I know how important it is that your item arrive quickly and undamaged, so I take great care to packing your items professionally and properly with new packing materials and boxes.  Nearly all items ship within 48 hours on weekdays, my office is closed weekends, larger items (furniture) and heavy items requiring custom built boxes may take up to a week to prepare and arrange pick-up or delivery with the shippers.

Please remember my shipping charges are NOT a profit center for me.  My quoted flat rates for shipping covers only a portion of the actual shipping costs.  I quote a flat rate shipping amount for one reason only, because I am an eBay Auctioneer, and not a fixed price store item seller.  The USPS, UPS, and FedEX are truly the ones setting the rates.  I quote you a simple below cost FLAT rate shipping to offer a partial shipping discount and so, you the buyer knows upfront what the shipping cost will be, with no surprises at auction end.  In other words, if my Widget Z strikes your fancy to the tune of $50, and the quoted shipping is $9, then you know your maximum bid is $41.  Pretty simple really. 

Basically, I use: USPS Priority Mail for smaller items, USPS Parcel Post for larger and heavier items, USPS Media Mail when appropriate, FedEX Ground for items with a DIM weight in excess of 130 cubic inches, and Greyhound Express for most furniture items.  Because of a high number of damaged items, and their refusal to pay more than $100 when an insurance claim is filed, I will not use UPS under any circumstances.

You will receive an e-mail the day I ship your item, via the e-mail address you have registered with eBay and NOT through eBay messages, usually within 72 of receiving your payment.  Parcel Post and FedEX Ground delivery times are 3-9 business days.  So please allow extra time for delivery is you are accustomed to the quick 1-3 day Priority Mail schedule.  This means, from the day your payment was sent, if you pay via PayPal please allow 2 weeks for delivery. Add an extra week to these times for Media Mail items.

If you need expedited delivery, please contact me at auction end, and I'll send a revised invoice with the quickest service total. 

Please feel free to e-mail or phone if your item is tardy.  And kindly refrain from daily e-mail's asking about shipping status.  Answering these actually slows shipping down as it takes up the work time I could actually use to pack and ship the item.
