Electrics

Front lights: check function of side lights, dipped beam, main beam, fog lights, indicators, hazard warning lights

Rear lights: check function of brake lights (inc 3rd brake light), tail lights, reversing lights, rear fog light, number plate light, indicators, hazard warning lights

Interior glove compartment and luggage compartment  light check

Warning lamps: check function

Horn: check function

Fault memory read

Vehicle Exterior

Door arrester, lock cylinder and bonnet catch: grease

Bodywork: check for damage

Windscreen wash/wipe system, headlight washer system: check function and spray jet settings - Top up with screen wash

Wiper blade condition and park position

Windscreen: visually inspect

Mirrors: visual inspection / check heating if applicable

Under Bonnet

Engine oil: drain or extract oil and replenish.  Change oil filter (oil and filter included)

Auxiliary drive belts condition and tension check

Battery check if applicable

Coolant check frost protection and coolant level/anti-freeze (should be below -25oC)

Clutch and hydraulics: check fluid level and for leaks

Plenum chamber and water drain valve: check for soiling and clean if necessary

Air filter: replace

Fuel filter (diesel only): replace

Spark plugs (petrol only): replace

Power steering fluid & washer fluid checked and topped up as required

Under Vehicle

Front brake pads/discs: check thickness and condition

Rear brake pads/discs: check thickness and condition

Engine, gearbox, fuel drive, steering, suspension, protective bellows, visual check for leaks & damage

Brake system: visual check for leaks and damage

Front and rear axle (quattro): check boots, play in joints and for security

Under body: visual check for damage, loose securing parts and lines

Exhaust system: visual check for leaks and damage
