Vnitage WH SMITH "THE SEAL PEN" 14k FOUNTAIN PEN & PENCIL c 1940

This is an early WH SMITH Fountain Pen and Mecahnical Pencil set.

Appears in good condition.
 
The fountain pen nib is 14k Gold and inscribed with WHS.  The body is inscribed with "The Seal Pen, Regd".  The filling lever has WHS on it.

The Mecahnical Pencil, which is darker then the fountain pen, has WHS and Made in England and three patent numbers on it.

This is a very interesting and high quality set made in what appears to be Bakelite or Celluloid.

The original WH Smith box is included with this set.

Condition: Appears fair to good.  I cannot open the fountain pen to check the condition of the cartridge.  The mecahnical pencil appears in good working order and has a rubber on it and spare lead in it.

As the pencil appears darker then the fountain pen, it may be possible that these are not an exact set.  However, they look similar.
